Unfortunately standard sizing does not exist for children's clothing, each brand is different, but we have a general size chart and tips to offer some guidelines.
| PREEMIE SIZE CHART | Weight is the best gauge for newborn, infant, and toddler sizes unless the baby is unusually long & thin. Infant clothing is designed with plenty of room for a diaper while toddler clothing provides a little less. Height is the best gauge for children sizes. If you do not know the weight & height of the child a good rule of thumb for the majority of American children is to take the child's age & double it. For example: a 2 month baby would be in 3 - 6 months; a 4 month baby would be in 6 - 9 months; a 6 month baby would be in 12 months; and a 12 month baby would be in 24 months or 2T. Once the child reaches the toddler & children size range the difference between age & clothing size is less drastic. Moving up one to two sizes is all that is necessary. | ||
